Let’s enjoy time together in community, exploring the world of wildcrafting while our littles play. We’ll connect with the earth as we create skin salves from wild herbs, baskets and cordage from plant fibers, and process art with paint made from natural pigments. We’ll experiment with botanical drawing, field sketching and watercolor techniques. Each craft will be processed over the course of 2-4 weeks, with experts facilitating different arts. We’ll provide the materials, instruction, coffee and tea, and a beautiful space to get creative.
Our littles will play in the beautiful new outdoor Nature Preschool Playscape. One of our wonderful preschool teachers, Ms. Sarah or Ms. Jeanne will be here every week, facilitating child-led, imaginative play. Children will have access to the mud kitchen, obstacle course, weaving loom, sand play, slackline, and various natural loose parts that will be changed up seasonally.
Babies through age 5 are welcome to the playgroup. We expect littles to come in and out of our crafting “mom time,” and babies will need our attention. That’s part of motherhood in these early years. This will be an informal setting to connect with other mamas in a beautiful outdoor space.

October 18- Collect herbs for Skin Salve and Dehydrate, Continue Embroidery
October 25- Skin Salve Oil Infusion (allow to soak in oils for two weeks), Complete Embroidery
November 1- Mushroom Spore Prints
November 8- Complete Skin Salve
November 15- Grapevine Harvest Wreath
Spring Session
March 7- Native Plants, Winter Sowing
March 14- Fire Building Making Charcoal on the Fire
March 21- Charcoal Field Sketching
March 28- Natural Pigment-Dyed Easter Eggs

Wildcrafting Tuition:
$325 per mama, per season
+ $100 enrollment deposit per season

Discovery Wilderness offers income-based tuition reduction, payment plans, early payment discounts, and volunteer opportunities for parents to make tuition more affordable.
