In the Redbuds and Dogwoods classes, children build on their love of outdoor play with growing independence and deeper engagement in the natural world. Through imaginative exploration, sensory games, and daily hikes over uneven terrain, students strengthen their gross motor skills, coordination, and confidence.

Fine motor development continues through nature journaling, wildcrafting, and seasonal work. Foundational academic skills are gently introduced through stories, songs, and observation-based learning. As children share ideas, listen to one another, and navigate social dynamics, they build teamwork, empathy, and a strong sense of community in our outdoor classroom.
