Classes encourage students to connect within themselves and to the earth, their peers and their parent. Emphasis is on imaginative free play, curiosity, and social awareness. We begin each class with a soft start, where families are welcome to join us for free play between 10:00-10:30. Our beautiful outdoor classroom space includes a mud kitchen, giant weaving loom, slackline, obstacle course, and ever-changing loose parts. Each class follows a similar rhythm: free play, opening circle with yoga, sensory awareness activities and music. Then we move into our adventure portion of the day, where students hike their special nature loop. We gather together for snack and story, more imaginative play, nature journaling, and closing circle around the fire. As students hike uneven terrain, climb, and balance on tones, they develop gross motor skills. Parents connect with other families of similar values and develop relationships that often extend outside of class time. Sharing discoveries and learning from one another develops our sense of community.

Babies are always welcome at no additional cost. This is a parent/child course- parents, guardians, or caretakers are expected to attend class with their child to learn and grow together.
