Step outside the classroom and into the living laboratory of the natural world! This year’s Botany Field Trip Series invites students to explore local ecosystems, connect scientific concepts with hands-on discovery, and experience how plants shape—and sustain—life around us.

For current Botany Field Study Students - use this sign up for the prorated price of $25 if you missed the first two field trips but want to join us for the last one in April.
Specific Fridays during the school year
9:45am-12:30pm (Bring your own picnic lunch)
Join us for a hands-on series designed to bring botany and ecology to life through direct exploration, fieldwork, and creative problem-solving. Each visit connects science with stewardship, inviting students to experience the interwoven systems of plants, soil, water, and design in action.
April 24 — Biodiversity Field Lab
Step into a living classroom bursting with diversity. Students explore the unique habitats of a regional biodiversity hotspot, identify species in the field, and use authentic sampling techniques that can be adapted for future research on their own school grounds.
