Step outside the classroom and into the living laboratory of the natural world! This year’s Botany Field Trip Series invites students to explore local ecosystems, connect scientific concepts with hands-on discovery, and experience how plants shape—and sustain—life around us.

Specific Fridays during the school year
9:45am-12:30pm (Bring your own picnic lunch)
Join us for a hands-on series designed to bring botany and ecology to life through direct exploration, fieldwork, and creative problem-solving. Each visit connects science with stewardship, inviting students to experience the interwoven systems of plants, soil, water, and design in action.
January 23 — Biomimicry Engineering Lab
Discover how nature’s designs inspire human innovation. Tour the LEED-certified Bunker Interpretive Center, study ingenious plant and animal adaptations, and engage in a STEM challenge to create nature-inspired solutions to real-world problems.
