Step outside the classroom and into the living laboratory of the natural world! This year’s Botany Field Trip Series invites students to explore local ecosystems, connect scientific concepts with hands-on discovery, and experience how plants shape—and sustain—life around us.

Specific Fridays during the school year
9:45am-12:30pm (Bring your own picnic lunch)
Join us for a hands-on series designed to bring botany and ecology to life through direct exploration, fieldwork, and creative problem-solving. Each visit connects science with stewardship, inviting students to experience the interwoven systems of plants, soil, water, and design in action.
November 7 — Native Roots
Get your hands in the soil and your heart in the ecosystem. Learn how habitat restoration supports biodiversity and resilience as we plant native species, remove invasives, and tend to living landscapes. Students also participate in the Ecosystem Dynamics Game: Invasives Edition to explore the complex relationships between species and ecosystems.
