Parents are invited to join us anytime, bring babies and toddlers too! We are a community of families—living life and loving nature, together. Please sign up to be a parent helper on the days you plan to come to class with your child. In order to maintain a low 5:1 student to adult ratio, we would like at least two parents in each class. Most of the time, we will have many more. There are no required number of days you must be a parent helper.
Learn with us! While you are here, we hope that you are an active participant. We might need your help setting up supplies or helping students write in their notebooks. But most of the time, the job of the parent helper is to explore and discover alongside the students. You don’t have to know all the answers; we certainly don’t! But that’s the beauty of it all—learning in community.

We use this facebook page to share pictures and communicate with one another. After your students are enrolled in courses, you can request to join this group.
The Wilderness Weekly is our newsletter that offers quick explanations of class happenings and optional activities to extend learning at home. This will be emailed out each week after classes.
“If a child is to keep alive his inborn sense of wonder… he needs the companionship of at least one adult who can share it, rediscovering with him the joy, excitement, and mystery of the world we live in.”
-Rachel Carson, The Sense of Wonder
