Welcome to the exciting, fast-paced world of Adventure Sports! For kids and their grown ups.
In this course, Discovery Wilderness School partners with experts in a variety of Adventure Sports across West Michigan. This is a traveling course, meeting in different locations to learn, practice, and develop the skills of a new adventure. With all this excitement, your grownup might want in on this class too! Please note— for these adventures it is not permitted to take younger children along.
This is a year-long class, made up of four sessions. Sessions are billed individually for tuition purposes. However, we ask that students and parents commit to the full year due to the structure of this course (scheduling and pre-paying for instructors and experiences around West Michigan).
Session A—slacklining, snorkeling, and fishing
Session B—kayaking, equestrian and bouldering (rock-climbing without ropes and harnesses)
Session C—rock-climbing, archery, and zip lining
Session D—skateboarding, tree-climbing, and high ropes courses
A detailed schedule with finalized locations of community experts will be released in June before the fall semester.
Student Cost (ages 5-17): $360 per session
Parent Cost (with a paid student): $150 per session
